UK hip-hop and R&B newcomer, Clark King, has shared his upbeat new single, ‘She Knows’, and it’s contender for rap track of the summer.
At just 20-years-old, King is already making big strides in the UK urban scene. Paving his own way forward, he is pushing his addictive sound to the forefront of popular dance music. Although still unsigned, the Brentwood-based singer has been gaining the recognition he so rightly deserves. Winning the prestigious Vodafone Future Breakers award, he was able to record and produce his own song, impressing industry professionals with his natural ability.
King’s musical journey began back when he was just a child when he discovered his passion for singing. His early involvement in a choir helped mould his style and forge his now adept singing and songwriting techniques. Now a solo artist, he has been gracing the stage at a number of local Essex and London clubs with more planned for the future.
An eclectic mix of hip-hop, dancehall and pop, ‘She Knows’ is the Summer anthem everyone’s been waiting for. Packed with the right amount of club bounce and soul reminiscent of early 2000’s R&B tracks, ‘She Knows’ is the perfect blend of contemporary production styles and silky nostalgic songwriting. Unlike King’s last trapped out offering, ‘Only One’, his latest song delivers a vibrant tropical feel – and that’s not just because of the paradisiac visuals.
