Sung with rare pureness by a sweet soul who was brave enough to move somewhere new with no one she knew close by, Oakland, USA-based singer-songwriter and proud Mother Kaitlin Cassedy hasn’t ever forgotten her roots.
Featuring production from her father back home in Minneapolis, this is a lovely experience brimming with honesty to put hope back into sad hearts. There are layers of beauty to find here, like looking into green fields after years of living in the concrete jungle.
Particular highlights are the 1st track Unconditionally, the gorgeous Escape, the touching Let it Go, and my personal favourite – The Reason. Each melody is crisp like fresh lettuce, her vocals seem to heal old wounds and bring a tear, that is followed by a smile.
There is skill here in droves. There is a rawness which is authentic. There are special moments that can’t be found unless you have lived them. Most importantly, Kaitlin Cassedy sings with love and hope, showing us that all of us can indeed find peace if we look hard enough.
