Kenzo Vice has transitioned from Houston’s Greatest Secret to household name almost overnight since the release of his debut full length project ‘Elevation’. It’s no secret he is one of the most dynamic artists of the new generation, but once hearing ‘Elevation’ and realising this is only his first tape, it gives you chills when you try to imagine what we’ll be hearing from him in 2020 and beyond.
Kenzo Vice is a recording artist born and raised in the South Houston area. “I used to freestyle in school and play around with it some, but I never thought I’d make music as a profession. After some major events happened in summer ’16, I decided to go full throttle with music. I starting perming my hair in August 2016 and went to the studio for the first time in October of 2016, hoping to find my sound to match my image and personality. It didn’t take long for me to get out of my comfort zone and once I did, I never looked back.”
He started working on Elevation in February of 2019 and released it August 16th of 2019. “Nothing I do is a coincidence. August 16th has always been a notable day for me. August 16th is the day my biggest inspiration Elvis Presley died, and I wanted to drop ‘Elevation’ as a tribute to him.”
He definitely sounds more than comfortable on his latest release ‘Elevation’. He serves us memorable harmonic vocals and impressive lyrics along with high precision delivery giving you a listening experience you’ll never forget. When asking of his favorite tracks on the tape, he says “I’d have to say it’s a close race between ‘She Wanna’ and ‘Control’. ‘She Wanna’ is just a pure hit that my generation can go stupid to and ‘Control’ is just about the trillest love song you’ll ever hear in your life.”
The vibes of Elevation are diverse, ranging from trap music to R&B bangers. Elevation can be found on almost any platform, including Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, Pandora, Spinrilla, and more!

“I literally put blood, sweat and tears into Elevation. I’m grateful for the producers that provided me such powerful original instrumentals for me to do my thing to. Shoutout to the legendary Aota, Chad G, Cap Baby, Bambino, etc for helping me create such an immaculate debut mixtape. You’ll never hear anyone enter the game this polished.”
