Norwegian artist and producer Maud is back with another dark electronic pop single ‘Nobody’. Kristine Hoff, known as Maud, has now released four tracks, three from her upcoming debut album out on 21st May. Maud has received extensive media praise including Glamglare, New York’s tastemaker blog, choosing ‘Baby Girl’ as their ‘Song Pick of the day’, being chosen as the cover of Deezer’s ‘New Electronic’ playlist and airplay from Amazing Radio, Radio Nova and NRK P3.
‘Nobody’ is a powerful track with lyrics about defiance and the power of self-love. The deep synth and bass elements paired with Maud’s hypnotic vocals, harmonies and the lyrics “Nobody’s gonna love me the way I love myself” are a gesture of self-assurance. Described as “vulnerable and intimate”, Maud says that ‘Nobody’ “substantiates the chaos we may feel inside of us from time to time.”
With the self-titled album written, produced, performed and recorded by herself out in May and a series of live sessions soon to be released, Maud is unquestionably working hard despite the global feeling of uncertainty.
