Naza presents Mujeres Sagradas EP, via Akbal, with support from John Digweed, Nick Warren and Facundo Mohrr

Using ethnic instruments such as Kalimba, flute, wooden clefs and various happy organic percussions and others that are more tribal, melodic and progressive, the EP  Mujeres Sagradas released by Akbal Music is available on the main digital platforms.

My fellow readers, it’s always pleasurable to share music that we believe and that we know is fresh new stuff straight from somebody with tons of creativity and a certain perfume in its music taste. In this case, a very interesting and clear message that is to touch people in the dance floor.

Mujeres Sagradas and Wakomaya make up the EP, more than fourteen minutes of Latin beats and ethnic vocals in an esoteric and deep plot that invites the listener to an immersion that relaxes the mind and guides the body in a light, almost spiritual dance.

The environment we live in directly impacts who we are, the things we do, and the story is no different to NAZA. The EP Mujeres Sagradas, released on Friday, September 22nd, by Akbal Music, reinforces the tribal style accompanied by a profound message from NAZA’s music identity. Both cultures are from countries where the artist lived. “This EP was made with a mix of Mexico and Brazil and reinforces the importance of connecting with our ancestral cultures”, explained NAZA, who added: “What motivates me is to guide people on an endless journey of joy, I want to vibrate when dancing.”

Both songs feature vocals of great ancestral significance. The artist said he heard the lyrics at different times and immediately felt his great connection with Brazil and Mexico.

Deer Jade, Djuma Soundsystem, Kora, Lost Desert, Marques Wyatt, and Nhii among others, also enhance the ethnic and deep sound of NAZA.

Mujeres Sagradas is a more tribal and afro house track with progressive synthesizers and a very meaningful vocal that celebrates women with respect and admiration: “The Feminine is the Sacred, which gives rise to all human beings. I wanted to pay homage to women with this beautiful vocal,” she commented. NAZA.

“I like playing and producing music that has a deeper meaning, a message behind it that even if you’re dancing and don’t know any more, you’ll get that good vibe in the form of music.”

Wakomaya means happiness in the language of the Amazonian Yawanawá people. “It is a song that the tribes sing to welcome guests into the community and an invitation to dance with them”, explains the artist. Both tracks are very tribal, but Wakomaya is more organic and happy with a very upbeat feel. The vocal guides you and the song opens and builds with deep, joyful melodies.

The Brazilian artist lives in North America. In Mexico for six years and now returned to New York, in the United States, but still in between and you can add Brazil to this account.

NAZA has already been present on important stages in these countries, such as the giant Ultra Music Festival, in Miami – on the Resistance stage, by legend Carl Cox – Tomorrowland Brasil, as well as Bravo Festival, Akamba, Restaura, Departamento among several others in Mexico, the country which profoundly marked his musical construction;

Both the EP Mujeres Sagradas and the record label Akbal Music are inspired by ancestral cultures. With more than 15 years on the road, Akbal Music maintains its identity “inspired by the Mayan Riviera, full of beaches, cenotes and beautiful landscapes. Always with an organic approach to music”, as commented Robbie Akbal, leader of the label also organizes parties around the world, launching great artists and collaborating with incredible people, as can be seen in the support received by the EP Mujeres Sagradas: “NAZA is a great talented producer who always comes with effective tracks. When I listened to the EP it was a bomb, I had to release it”. Robbie further added: “Both tracks are packed with exotic grooves, huge synth lines, world music vocals and mind-blowing sounds to liven up dancefloors everywhere.”
