Zaflon Gets Daring With His New Single ‘Till The Meds Wear Off’

Zaflon has a euphoric new single on the way, and for the first time, he’s singing on it. It’s been a long time coming for the London-based producer and artist.

In the past, Zaflon has tended towards instrumental, more experimental music for his solo project, yet now he has gone more pop and thrown his own vocals on to the record. We ask him about daring to go for it and whether he considers this to be somewhat of a risk and he tells us the following:

“Yes, I’m definitely taking a risk with this in terms of how I’m perceived. There’s something cool and safe about holding it down with production. People may criticise your work but they’re not judging you on who you are or what you stand for. In TTMWO I’m actually making reference to an event in my life which altered it’s direction. I’m exposing fears and feelings in a way that only a vocalist can, whilst keeping aspects of it a mystery. I feel an overwhelming sense of duty to my future self to express myself in this way. People who only know my Zaflon music may think it’s strange that I’ve gone so pop, but people who know my production work know that this has always been a sound I’ve worked with and will like the fact that I’ve taken it there…. Hopefully. If not, I really don’t care – life’s too short.”

Here is Zaflon’s eye-catching music video to go alongside the single, which features various dancers found online and brought together with a beautiful edit by Zaflon himself:

‘Till The Meds Wear Off’ is out February 26th on all major digital and streaming platforms
