Born in Naples in the South of Italy on March 11th 1980, Beenzo was especially born a music-lover. He would spend hours on end listening to his brother remixing sounds with two record players and a now vintage turn table.
Music followed him everywhere ever since, but the turning point came when Beenzo moved to Paris with his parents. One day, as he was walking home, a gorgeous melody coming from a huge building caught his attention. Seduced by such a resonant harmony, he couldn’t help himself but walk through the door. Thus Beenzo started talking singing classes at the music academy.
In 1997 after years of hard work and practice, Beenzo took a break to ponder on things. He realized that he could not live without music and that he had to find a way to make a living out of it, despite the fact that the road to success would be a bumpy one for a rookie like him.
A few years later, he made an encounter that would trigger a new start in his career. The man he met ended up helping him, tweaking his work and guiding him by enabling him to channel his emotions thanks to music. That same man has become a friend, a brother for Beenzo. That man is Billy Crawford.
He is the one with whom Beenzo started writing tracks such as “Hands Up, “Dream”, “You’re the One” or “Cio’che non distrugge”.
To this day Beenzo still puts in as much work into writing his texts and practicing in the recording studio so as to present authentic and genuine songs to fans. Although Beenzo has opened to a variety of musical genres, he has stayed true to his original goal which was to make of living thanks to music that he relates to intimately.
Beenzo is a passionate man. He is passionate about sports (being Italian makes being a soccer fiend a non-negotiable point) and is also fond of learning about foreign cultures through trips and experiences. Thirsty for novelty, he closes no door but he will always stay true to who he his: Beenzo is a man with simple key values who knows where he came from.
Today he is living the dream: he is making a living from his music, in other words he is making a living thanks to his passion. He shares his emotions through writing and singing to show that believing in one’s dream is essential. He wants to prove that living without music – such a simple yet vital element of our daily life – is impossible. Music is our daily companion with its rhythm pervading everything, its notes ringing out like bursts of laughter or of tears – music is life.
