Mick Jagger makes first public appearance since undergoing heart surgery

Mick Jagger has made his first public appearance since he underwent heart surgery at the start of this month.

A number of dates on The Rolling Stones tour were postponed when the singer had surgery to replace a heart valve in New York.

Soon after, Jagger shared an image of himself looking well on the road to recovery after the surgery, captioned simply: “A walk in the park.”

Now, it has been reported that the 75-year-old frontman was in attendance at the opening night of his partner Melanie Hamrick’s new ballet, Porte Rouge, in New York.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that on April 18th Jagger remained backstage for the premiere, which features choreographed routines to iconic Stones classics such as ‘Paint It Black’.

Despite keeping a low profile and not being seen by attendees, Jagger still made his presence known over PA to support his partner: “Mick Jagger here. Hope you enjoy this wonderful new ballet and the music.”

An inside source claimed that the singer avoided the limelight as he “didn’t quite look like Mick Jagger” following the recent surgery.
