A star-studded memorial concert took place in Montreal to mark one year since the death of Leonard Cohen.
The Tower of Song: A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohen concert took place on Monday night and saw performances from Sting, Elvis Costello, Lana Del Rey, Courtney Love, Seth Rogen and many more. Rey was joined by Cohen’s son Adam for a rendition of ‘Chelsea Hotel No. 2‘. Rogen recited ‘Field Commander Cohen‘ from his 1974 album Old Ceremony.

Speaking to the crowd about the event, Adam Cohen said: “The goal was, as in many religions, to sing songs of praise for someone who is no longer with us,”
“And I know that my father would have been very grateful, not only for the beautiful love that you have given him this evening but for his songs being kept alive by these beautiful voices and accompaniments.“
