Single Review: Lady Redneck Crafts An Eternal Journey On “After The Rain You’ll Find The Son”

Lady Redneck offers a soothing, spaciousness with “After The Rain You’ll Find The Son”. There is a great slice of country to be found within the sound. By keeping things simple yet effective she utilizes a grandeur to it. Her voice seems to expand up towards the heavens. Lots of hope defines the work. Patience proves essential for the pace is done exceptionally well. A buildup of the sound works wonders for she lets each element come in at the perfect point. With this tactic the instruments underpin the sheer importance of her words.

Right in the beginning it is only her voice leading the way. Ensuring all of this comes together in a gorgeous way she brings so much color into the mix. The layer upon layer that is brought into the fray gives it an angelic presence. Stylistically she taps into the slowcore and country genre, blending the two together into a hearty brew. Her voice truly leads the way, for she builds herself up alongside the rest of the arrangement. Virtually dreamy at the beginning of the piece, she gradually becomes defiant in the face of the obstacles that the world inevitably places against so many people. For the finale of the track she takes a bit of a victory lap, with the guitar sweeping up behind her in a gesture of true power.

“After The Rain You’ll Find The Son” shows off Lady Redneck’s skillful ability to craft an entire journey. It’s out on March 3rd.
