Better Oblivion Community Center duo Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst have branched out into musicals, debuting a cover of A Star Is Born hit ‘Shallow’ during their NYC set at Brooklyn Steel yesterday (1st April).
The pair, accompanied by Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, introduced the song as some new material that they’d been workshopping.
Oberst didn’t do his best covering the April Fools Day prank, mumbling that he couldn’t believe what he was doing while Bridgers remained straight-faced before launching into the chart-topping Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper duet, much to the crowd’s delight – check it out above.
