One lucky couple had an unforgettable guest steal the show at their engagement party – and it wasn’t just a table-climbing uncle who drank a tad too much.
Taylor Swift surprised the friends and family of Alexander Goldschmidt and Ross Girard, delivering a special acoustic serenade at the two Swift fans’ betrothal yesterday (23rd February).
Goldschmidt emailed the star asking her to attend the celebration but kept his cards close to his chest by not letting anyone know that they’d been in contact: “There was a person who isn’t here but sort of played a part in all of this,” he said, addressing the couple’s nearest and dearest, “So I would like to welcome, and you to give a warm welcome to, my friend Taylor.”
Swift then emerged suddenly with an acoustic guitar in hand before explaining that she’d be performing ‘King Of My Heart’ – a track that held significant meaning to the pair, bashfully explaining before launching into the song: “I’ve been off tour for a while but hopefully it’s still alright,” she said. “This is from Alex. It’s sung by me but it’s from Alex.”

Last year, ex-One Direction star Zayn Malik confirmed rumours that Taylor Swift was allegedly moved around in a massive suitcase to steer clear of paparazzi.
The theory, which came from several photos of Swift’s team transporting a huge suitcase to and from her New York-dwelling, has finally been confirmed.
In a tell-all interview about his life with British Vogue, Malik very briefly confirmed that the ‘Blank Space’ singer has resorted to hiding in a gigantic holdall to avoid the cameras.
