After touring in Latin America, WLHM presents a deep and percussive sonic journey alongside Abel Djassi.
WLHM and Abel Djassi introduce “Echo Nexus,” a track that blends deep techno with tribal energy. Released under Siblings Audio on March 13th, the collaboration explores hypnotic rhythms and organic textures, offering an immersive club experience. Available for DJs on Beatport.
“Echo Nexus” is built around pulsating rhythms and evolving soundscapes. The track captures a trance-like movement through layered drum patterns and atmospheric synths. The organic percussions and deep basslines create a raw yet fluid groove, designed to engage both body and mind.
WLHM and Abel Djassi’s cultural influences shape the track’s unique character. With WLHM’s background in Latin America and Abel Djassi’s roots in Cabo Verde, the composition integrates diverse rhythmic traditions into a modern electronic framework.
The production process began with an instinctive approach, focusing on rhythm as the core element. The artists experimented with percussive textures using drum machines like the Elektron Analog Rytm and the Roland TR-8S, while incorporating organic elements such as hand claps and wood hits. The Moog Sub 37 provided warmth to the bassline, and the ASM Hydrasynth contributed atmospheric depth. Listen here:
“We wanted to create something that feels ancestral yet modern, something that taps into the primal instinct of movement and dance. The idea was to fuse organic percussion with a driving, hypnotic groove to create a sonic journey that feels almost ritualistic”, comments WLHM.
The creative direction was influenced by artists such as Ben Sims and Chris Liebing, along with the ritualistic aspects of dance music. The objective was to translate the energy of tribal beats into a hypnotic techno structure. The result is a track that feels alive, evolving dynamically through subtle sonic shifts.

The collaboration between WLHM and Abel Djassi was facilitated by their long-standing friendship. As the head of Siblings Audio, Abel Djassi, also known as Natalino Nunes, provided a natural home for the release. The shared vision and trust between the two artists streamlined the creative process, ensuring the track aligned with their artistic direction.
About the creative process, Abel Djassi commented: “Instead of relying solely on drum machines, we incorporated recordings of organic sounds—hand claps, wood hits, and even processed field recordings—to give the rhythm a more primal, human feel.”
“Echo Nexus” is now available on all platforms. This release marks the beginning of an ongoing collaboration, with additional singles set for April and May. The artists continue to explore new sonic territories, pushing the boundaries of rhythm and atmosphere.
