Shakona is an R&B artist from Clarksville, Tennessee who performs under the stage name of Kona Mai.
She writes all her own music and following the loss of her mother, Kona Mai wasn’t able to sing as a mark of respect but now that she has to come to terms with the change in her life she is performing again.
Last year saw Kona Mai release of ‘But I’m on the way’, which is an outstanding track that begins with a delightful melody and beautiful guitar riffs and then the R&B singer unleashes vocals that are both soulful and powerful.
