Hendrika is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer and music school graduate from the Yukon.
Her music falls under the folk umbrella but involves a wide range of genres and influences.
From bluegrass roots to teenaged rock rebellion, to jazz focused college years, her love for many genres has led to a versatile and unique collection of original material that pushes the boundaries of modern music in all the right ways.
She has toured Western Canada with the band playing iconic festivals such as Breakout West 2024, Dawson City Music Festival, Edmonton Fringe Festival and more.
Earlier in the year Hendrika recorded a live performance of ‘You’ve Got Gold’, which is simply delightful.
It begins with a smooth guitar arrangement and then we are further entertained by catchy percussion beats and a beautiful vocal performance by Hendrika.
The instrumental part of the song that features towards the end of the track is outstanding and then it blends into a powerful delivery by the Canadian artist.
Last month saw Hendrika release the ‘I Can’t Remember’ EP.
