Steve Hensby Band are splitting at the seams with an assault to the musical senses with elements of funk, soul, ska, world, a sprinkle of psychedelia and a dash of folk.

The nine piece ensemble is regular on the Western Australia festival circuit and features a healthy sized horn section.

The live performance of ‘Revolution Against the Bland’ begins with a wonderful wind instrument intro before shifting gears to unleash a lively and fast paced instrumental arrangement.

Steve Hensby Band then proceed to deliver a powerful vocal performance as they treat us to anthemic lyrics that perfectly flow alongside soulful melodies.

Their album ‘Astronomers Aren’t Morning People’ is about partying in outer space due to influencers taking over the world.

The earth has turned into a giant disco ball because of all the flashing cameras from selfies.

Steve Hensby is a Berklee College of Music graduate and West Australian Music Industry award winning musician who also works as a session player in the Perth area.

He has played with the likes of Jackson Browne, Tim Minchin, John Cleary, Steve Poltz, Perth Symphony Orchestra and Taasha Cootes.
