‘The Mermaid Wife’ then continues to delight with sublime harmonies from the acapella performers, as the lyrics tell the tale of how on one moonlit night a Shetlander stumbled upon Mermaids and stole a mermaid’s seal skin, trapping her in the human world and all that transpired after.
