Calgary’s Waterfront, a hard rock band who are all alumni from the University of Lethbridge, is set to rock their alma mater. Their journey began in 2019, with the band’s talented members uniting to form a powerful musical force. They quickly established their presence in Canada’s music scene. In 2021, Waterfront achieved a pivotal milestone, releasing their debut EP, New Heights, in collaboration with Vancouver-based artists, The Faceplants. In 2022, their sophomore EP, Fever Dream, solidified their musical presence.
Waterfront‘s mission is to preserve and invigorate the spirit of rock music, fueled by high-octane energy. As 2023 unfolds, the band is ready to explore deeper into a harder, more captivating sound that will resonate with rock enthusiasts.
Now, Waterfront‘s journey brings them back to their roots. As proud alumni of the University of Lethbridge, they are returning to their alma mater’s stage. On Friday, September 22nd, Waterfront will release their second single, ‘Keeping You Alive,’ offering a sneak peek of their upcoming EP, Sleep in the Cold, scheduled for early 2024 release under Affiant Records.
The stage is set at Coulee Fest, with their performance at 4 p.m. which will leave you feeling alive with excitement. Waterfront’s not to be missed performance will capture the essence of Coulee Fest and keep the spirit of rock alive!
Coulee Fest has organically grown into a beloved institution in southern Alberta, celebrating community, music, and excitement. This year’s festivities kick off on Saturday, September 16th, at Lethbridge College, thanks to the generous support of title sponsor 1st Choice Savings.
