Piotr Balkus: “We achieved so much in such a short space of time, all the hard work and determination have paid off” – you wrote on your Facebook. But it’s the begining of the road…
Charlie Holmes: We are very lucky that it has kicked off so quickly and we have a strong, loyal fan base. But yes, still early days, we hope to get on some sweet tours with bigger bands this year and open ourselves to different crowds.

– You decided to finish your EP, instead of take a holiday. Why do you work so hard?
It’s just for the love of music, it’s become our lives now. If we are not playing it live we are at home writing it.

– And when Europe tour finish, you’re gonna return to work on your second album… So, no holiday for you?
No holiday at all, we have and are still writing new material, we have about 6 songs written and a few demoed, so getting down to this hard once we hit the UK again.

– How it is like to support Gallows?
Was amazing! Was a different crowd than we would normally play with so was really cool to get a good reaction.

– Your debut demo “Loyalty” was a big underground success…
I think that “Loyalty” was so different from the music we were all making in our past bands and was pretty much a fresh sound. We have also grown as a band now and the new music is getting stronger and stronger.

– You come from Bournemouth…
Yeah, Bournemouth is quite a small town with only a couple of venues that tend to put on live music from the scene we are into, we all started off playing in different bands around Bournemouth and the south coast and when we got together we aimed to try and get out of Bournemouth to play and tour where there is more of a scene.

– Reviews of your European shows are very good. What interesting do people find in your music?
Hopefully our onstage presence, we like to go as mad as possible on stage. Really get the crowd involved and jump off anything we can.

– Some people think you are not metalcore, but emo or screamo band…
We see ourselves as a melodic hardcore band, we have the passion and fury of a hardcore band but also the melodic nice sounding guitars.

– You think people outside Europe has different taste of music? Better or maybe worse?
I think that it has nothing to do with taste, just that the Europeans have more passion and are a lot more open minded to different kinds of music. We love playing over in Europe, can’t wait to go back.

– You are welcome. Thanks for interview.
Thank you.
