MC Sessions | Riley Pearce

Australian singer-songwriter Riley Pearce is widely recognised for his atmospheric folk and chilled out coastal sound – a sound which has seen him amass over 12 million Spotify streams on his breakout single, ‘Brave’.

Riley’s interest in music sparked when he was just a kid. He learnt guitar by copying his idols on the TV – accidentally learning the instrument left-handed whilst mirroring them in the process. Following this, he went on to busk at farmers markets and play open mic nights around Perth. Now he’s selling out shows in his hometown, winning awards and touring internationally.

Below you can watch Riley gracing the front room of East London’s Folklore with a stripped back rendition of his track ‘If I Knew‘.

If I Knew‘ is lifted from his latest EP, Eastbound, which was released on 3rd August and includes the tracks ‘Elephants‘ and ‘Misplaced‘. Having just wrapped a six month UK/EU tour, Riley is gearing up to play some shows on his home turf in September. Check out the dates for those shows here.
