There has been a certain buzz around singer-songwriter Sam Way. Devon-born, but London-based, he makes delicate tunes that are heartfelt and raw.
Scouted at the age of sixteen during a shopping trip with his mum, Sam Way went on to take the modelling world by storm, acting as the face for major campaigns for the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Chanel and Paco Rabanne. Several years ago, however, in his early twenties, Waymade the decision to focus on his lifelong love.
The son of a musician, Way spent his childhood listening to world music and was encouraged to learn to play the guitar. Inspired by his parents, Waypushed himself to write his own compositions through his self-taught musicianship, creating personal and heartfelt songs. In this sense, his songwriting has an intense, intimate feel that is akin to being pulled into his inner-self.
Sam Way has managed to navigate the modelling industry with know-how, dedication and poise and there is no denying that this young talent will make an impact in the modern music landscape in much the same way.
