Nosila Shares Stirring New Single ‘Halfway’

Emerging South Australian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nosila shares his evocative new single “Halfway”. With a driving acoustic rhythm and heartfelt vocals, “Halfway” brings together Nosila’s signature sound with an anthemic, uplifting twist.

Opening with gentle acoustic guitar strums and Simon Hatch’s emotive vocals, “Halfway” builds into a sweeping chorus, carried by lush instrumentation and soaring melodies. The song captures the duality of relationships—both the discovery of new connections and the compromises needed to sustain them. As the track swells into its powerful closing, complete with a passionate electric guitar riff, Nosila delivers an emotional yet invigorating anthem that will resonate with listeners.

Nosila, the solo project of Simon Hatch, is deeply personal, created in memory of his late sister, Alison. Through poignant lyrics and textured arrangements, Nosila’s music navigates themes of mental health, existence, and personal growth. “I’ve always written fairly sad/melancholy music and this track was the first time I made a concise effort to write something more uplifting. The title Halfway somewhat speaks for itself. The song really has a dual meaning, from meeting and creating new relationships in undiscovered places (the halfway) as well as making compromises in relationships”, Simon shares, making his songwriting a heartfelt tribute.

Mixed by Stefan Du Randt (Mac Miller, Thelma Plum) and mastered by Andrew Edgson (5 Seconds of Summer, Matt Corby), “Halfway” highlights Nosila’s growing talent and sets the stage for future releases.
