Based in Amsterdam, 9T7 is a producer and multi-instrumentalist whose rich blends of jazz and electronica have earned millions of streams. Finding placements on Spotify and Apple editorials, the artist now sets himself up for a debut EP. The project is a culmination of his journey so far, one that has seen him take the role of a booking agent, a DJ and now an upcoming producer.
The first track of that, On Intuition, is ‘Modern Vintage’, a piece of lo-fi style atmosphere and rich production elements. The jazz electronica is built on a repeating chord pattern, steadily expanded with sleek drum rhythms and shimmering new melodies from intricate synth design. The simplicity of the track is charming, but the skill at work is evident, a perfectly swelling, colourful listening experience.
Sharing an insight into the style of his upcoming project, 9T7 adds, “’On Intuition’ is a compound of musical composition purely made on intuition. Every beat, every note, comes from a place deep within, crafted to resonate with the soul.”
