Alfreda Returns with Captivating New Single ‘Frankie’

Alfreda, known for her enigmatic charm and old Hollywood allure, is back in the spotlight with her latest single, ‘Frankie’. Following the poignant ‘Nude’, the spell-binding ‘Lipstick’, and the powerful chic-pop track ‘Guest Room’, this new release marks the fourth and final single from her critically acclaimed Mother’s Makeup EP. Alfreda continues to weave a complex tapestry of sounds and styles, each track infused with her distinctive creative essence.

‘Frankie’ begins with a raw, emotional depth reminiscent of John Lennon’s melodic sensibilities, before blossoming into a vibrant 70s disco anthem. This evolution from an introspective ballad to an infectious dance track exemplifies Alfreda’s ability to seamlessly blend genres while maintaining her unique artistic voice.

In describing ‘Frankie’, Alfreda reveals that the song is a narrative of lust, obsession, and mistaken identity. “Frankie is about the time I fell hard for someone (admittedly I hardly knew him), and then once when we bumped into each other he got my name wrong. I took this anecdote and have developed it into a sound bite where I become this ‘Frankie’. I become someone else and give in to everything I believe men want. Frankie is easy. Frankie is a good-time girl. Frankie messes around and doesn’t get hurt.”

Adding another dimension to her already captivating persona, Alfreda is currently holding down a cabaret-inspired residency titled ‘Bedroom Tales’ at the revamped London music venue and members’ club House of KOKO. This residency showcases her unique ability to blend music and cabaret, offering an intimate and engaging performance experience.

Alfreda is swiftly cementing her place as a compelling new voice in contemporary music. Her audience is invited to lose themselves in the seductive world she creates, where each track tells a story and every performance is a journey into her intriguing artistic universe.
