Based in London, Lyra are a infectious neo soul and r&b act pushing the envelope of their genre.

Drawing inspiration from 90’s r&b culture to modern day funk and pop, the band take influence from artists including Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Don Broco, Polyphia, Tom Misch, Cory Wong and Amy Winehouse.

Since forming the band at BIMM in 2016, Lyra have performed in some of the most iconic venues in London such as The Bedford, The Spice of life, 229, The Camden Assembly, 93 Feet East and many more.

Their songs have received numerous plays on BBC Introducing in addition to receiving track of the week.

Their latest single ‘All The Same’ outlines the coexistence of imperfection and affection in a relationship.

In the band’s own words “Love songs tend to avoid the subject of mundanity and every day nags that people experience with their partner so we decided to focus in on that.”
