Arkayla share high-energy anthem ‘Lost In A Valentine’

Forming in 2020 and consistently making a splash in their local Manchester scene with sellout performances and invigorating new music. More acclaim came from Guy Garvey on BBC Radio 6, John Kennedy on Radio X and XS Manchester, as well as achieving a no.2 iTunes charts slot.

Performing at Band On The Wall, the Troubadour in London, and Isle Of Wight Festival, and an EP on the horizon, Arkayla is a force to be reckoned with in 2024.

The band’s latest, ‘Lost In A Valentine’, is a nostalgia-tipped anthem, with each element coming together as a showcase of impeccable songwriting. The initial moments hit heavy with a powerful vocal performance and bright guitar chords, but the track quickly takes a turn into an indie summer banger, the bass filled with endless fun in its grooves whilst the drums are brimming with fierce pace and cymbal-heavy arrangements. With a clear unstoppable attitude from the band, the vocals are delivered with the same raw energy as the instrumentation, the sheer power the sign of a true performer. Don’t miss this track as it clatters onto the scene.

“The initial idea we had for Lost In A Valentine was a proper tender acoustic ballad,” Fin, Arkayla guitarist comments. “We weren’t really sure where to go with it until we came up with the bassline, which instantly gave it that fiery energy you find across a lot of our music. It’s an ode to love, escapism and the self-loathing a lot of people feel about their hometowns.”
