B3XX and We DaHomies collaborate on new live video for ‘Orange Silk’

A force for neo-soul, B3XX recently debuted from Florida, USA and has quickly gone from fresh to timeless, taking influence from the greats of now and times gone by, forging her own path with nostalgia and contemporary flair.

B3XX now drops a new video, collaborating with We DaHoies at Warm Studios for a live rendition of Orange Silk. Her style comes across effortlessly, the sleekness of the guitar, warmth of the keys and tightness of the drums all feeding into a simply angelic vocal performance. Alongside it all, bass grooves provide strong, moving foundations along the way.

There’s a showcase of talent across the room, but there’s no doubt it’s B3XX who takes centre stage. Her range is fantastic, even a lone vocal without harmony is a commanding presence for the instrumentation, B3XX leads the way.

The slight saturation makes the whole thing feel even more natural, providing a sweetness and a vintage tinge that you can’t help but fall in love with. Recent live recordings of B3XX have continued to impress; the songwriter is in her element, and you’ll find no complaints from us.

B3XX explains in more detail, “I hold this song very close to my heart because it was the first track I wrote after the dust had settled from a tough situation in my music career. It was the song that made me feel like I could really make it as an independent artist. I went in the studio with the intention of only writing about positive things, so of course, I chose to write about my relationship. I wanted to write in as much detail as possible so that the song could capture how this love truly made me feel. ‘Floating in violet skies,’ ‘here where your love surrounds me,’ ‘warm like sun in July.’ I needed my listeners to know that love doesn’t have to be painful or frustrating, but that it can be soft like rolling in Orange Silk.”
