BeMyFiasco Brings R&B Bliss on New Project ‘Pretty Little Love’

Rising R&B/Soul powerhouse Bianca “BeMyFiasco” Rodriguez returns with Pretty Little Love, an eight-track opus of love, lust, and self-discovery. Released on October 29, 2024, via +FE Music/EMPIRE, the project cements the Durham-based singer/songwriter as a unique voice in contemporary R&B. Following her lauded debut album Where I Left You (2021), this release reflects BeMyFiasco’s artistic evolution, blending emotional depth with sonic exploration.

Drawing on influences from Anita Baker and D’Angelo to SWV, Pretty Little Love is an intimate affair. Featuring collaborations with Phonte, Carlitta Durrand, and others, the album bridges classic R&B traditions with modern sensibilities. For the first time, BeMyFiasco steps into co-production, crafting tracks like “Don’t Wanna Be Your Lover” and “Finally,” where her guitar playing also takes the spotlight. Producers such as ROMderful, ANKN & VDR, and Zo! & Tall Black Guy provide lush soundscapes that amplify her tender, yet commanding vocals.

Opening with “Let Me In,” the album sets the tone with sultry melodies and vulnerable lyrics. Tracks like “Red Lights” and “Rituals” shimmer with jazzy undertones and intricate harmonies, while the funk-laden “Don’t Wanna Be Your Lover” pulses with empowerment. The closer, “Finally,” is a standout—its stripped-back arrangement and heartfelt delivery feel like a quiet revelation.

Speaking on the creative process, BeMyFiasco shares, “This project began with just my guitar and a head full of emotions I hadn’t yet put into words. Over these last three years, I’ve learned so much about bringing my vision to life, and while it was terrifying to take the lead, I’m grateful for the support of my FE family. They encouraged me to stay true to my voice. With Phonte’s guidance, I finally had the tools to create something authentically mine.”

Pretty Little Love is more than a collection of songs—it’s a deeply personal journey that feels both intimate and universal. Whether navigating heartbreak or celebrating self-discovery, BeMyFiasco’s sophomore effort is a testament to her growth as an artist and a storyteller. It’s the kind of project that invites listeners to feel seen, to fall in love, and to find themselves within its melodies.

With this release, BeMyFiasco solidifies her place as a vital voice in R&B, and Pretty Little Love is sure to resonate long after the last note fades.
