Blanka Barbara Launches UNTOLD label with single Mirali

UNTOLD is a new record label from DJ, producer, and composer Blanka Barbara. Written as the closing piece for the theatrical production KS6: Small Forward, the label’s first release, Mirali – a collaboration with Late Arrivals – showcases the cinematic and textured approach that defines the label’s vision.

Blanka Barbara’s decision to launch a label reflects her evolution as an artist, following a career built on deep, atmospheric productions and dynamic live sets. Her work has taken her from club residencies at iconic venues like London’s Ministry of Sound and The Egg to international stages in countries like Germany, India, and Malta. Known for her deep and textured sound, she’s also a familiar name on the airwaves, hosting her own radio show and contributing guest mixes to influential platforms.

UNTOLD aims to spotlight emotive electronic music via a range of sub-genres, from cinematic electronica to melodic house and techno and beyond.

With a broken beat foundation, evocative vocal samples, and an uplifting lead synth line combining to create a cinematic journey, Mirali balances introspection and euphoria, setting the tone for a label that will be driven by emotion and storytelling.

Recent highlights for Blanka Barbara include her curated performance at the Southbank Centre’s ‘Concrete Lates x Rave: Recharge’ event and a commission from the Belarus Free Theatre to create and perform original dance music for their latest production. Her compositions also featured prominently in ‘KS6: Small Forward’, a theatrical production which ran for three weeks at La Mama in Manhattan (Autumn 2024) and is scheduled for a run at London’s Barbican Centre in 2025.

With Mirali as its debut release, UNTOLD is set to carve out its own niche, reflecting Blanka Barbara’s passion for music that goes beyond the ordinary.
