Bobby Garcia releases new EP ‘The Man I Never Knew’

Bobby Garcia, a country singer from Merritt, B.C., Canada, just dropped his new EP ‘The Man I Never Knew’ — his first release of 2025. The six song EP was recorded in Nashville with producer Kenny Royster earlier this year. If you’re a fan of country, this one’s got a bit of everything—lighthearted feels, sentimental themes, and beer.

The collection kicks off with ‘Beer Therapy’, an upbeat track with a message many can relate to, “I need some beer therapy, the kind you just can’t get from a written prescription from a lady in a dress”. The EP then takes a more sentimental turn with ‘Go Back to the Picture on the Wall’, a song about missing the good old days but knowing the good old days created who you are today.

The title track, ‘The Man I Never Knew’, is about wanting to know his biological father — it’s sweet and hits you right in the feels. Bobby said “[It’s] a true personal musical experience that I am very proud to share.” The EP wraps with ‘It’s Not My Fault It’s Not My Problem’, a fast, rowdy track that makes you wanna grab a case and head out to the local honky tonk. Bobby’s from the Nlaka’pamux First Nations and grew up around music — his family is full of singers and musicians. He loves old-school country like Merle Haggard and Hank Williams Jr., and it shows. He wrote most of the songs, but his cousin Joanne Stacey and her buddy Roger Plante also picked up the pen on ‘The Gate’.

Take Bobby Garcia’s The Man I Never Knew for a spin on the back roads. It’s streaming now wherever you listen to music.
