Bones Ate Arfa have been on an upward charge as of late. Their sound is unquestionably unique, and has garnered not only heaps of tastemaker praise, but also turned artists such as Fred Durst, Isaac Holman and Royal Blood into loyal fans. The trio, alongside their newfound acclaim, have been refining their sound into a state of imperfect perfection.

This comes to a head with their Just Bananas EP, putting the flag down for what they call psychedelic-street-punk-desert-rock. If that jumble of cross-genres can be defined as high-energy riffs, impassioned performances and an unconfined explosion of colourful, raw and aggressive arrangement, then they’ve hit the nail on the head.

Across six tracks, three of which are brand new, they drive onward, showcasing a more vulnerable side alongside some of their most violently punk sonics yet. It’s infectious, noisy, and brimming with personality. Bones on guitar, 8 on drums and Arfa on vocals/bass have done it again, and people seem to be turning heads.
