A UK trio with an almost indescribable uniqueness to their sound Bones Ate Arfa have charged onto the live scene with gritty, dynamic performances, a sentiment they manage to carry with the same gusto into their recorded music. With early radio and social media support to back them, as well as nods from Royal Blood and Tigercub, fans are on the cusp of their debut EP release, followed by a monster live UK tour.

Bones Ate Arfa’s latest track in the run-up to this monumental debut project is the new single ‘Akimbo People’. With frenzied riffs at its core and screaming, pitch-shifted lead lines giving extra decoration to the atmosphere, the single is an aggressive, punk-edged electrifier. That said, it’s certainly not unpalatable, their radio-filtered vocals and intricately developing guitars lending themselves to a song you not only want to listen to but desperately want to pick up and play. If this infectious cross-combative approach continues, Bones Ate Arfa is certainly a three-piece to pay attention to.

Bones Ate Arfa shares their thoughts, “Akimbo People is about losing the closest person to you and having to distance yourself from them in order to grow. We recorded all the instruments at home, which we feel adds a raw, garage-band vibe to the track. The EP as a whole explores the unpredictable nature of relationships, with the title track perfectly embodying our sound and the themes of the project.”
