Bryan Yurcan, a singer-songwriter based out of Pennsylvania, USA, has brought his indie-folk-driven music to new audiences since 2021. Aside from his solo career, he’s been a part of several creative projects along the West Coast.
His latest song, ‘TV Guide’, is a solemn acoustic number with gentle, storyteller vocals. It speaks about the early days of television, with a delicate, expressive and ultimately human portrayal of how nostalgia can bring you right back to the moment of the past.
As the track continues, Bryan is joined by rising, swelling string arrangements, which add to the already surrounding pull on your heartstrings. The folk is full of memories, a love for the past and a pain in the present, a truly beautiful four-minute song.
Bryan explains, “This song is about growing up during a time when you had to set a specific time and date to watch your favourite television program. You didn’t have everything in the world streaming at your fingertips. It’s nostalgic, looking back at a time gone by, that will never be again”
