Burning Bones unveil the explorative B-Sides of ‘Daydreams’ EP

Burning Bones, led by founding member Joe Robertshaw, has evolved steadily since their 2018 debut. Double singles and EPs have become their staple releases, glueing together capsuled narratives with short, refined statements.

Late last year, the group unveiled ‘Daydreams’, a dynamic six-track that built each track into a swirling landscape of cinematic dreamy immersion. Now, in a three-track gift, the band brings more of that sound, with a sense of expanded limitations, on a B-sides EP.

Delicately intertwining grit, ethereality and exploration, they lean less on the vocal performances allowing the instrumentation to speak for itself and making each vocal appearance more impactful. Stretching from shoegaze to post-punk, it’s a slice of free-flowing versatility that helps us understand where Burning Bones might go next.

“The B Sides are the tracks from our recent release,” the band adds, “‘Day Dreams’ that we felt didn’t fit the vibe of the release but rather deserved their own space in a separate release.”
