Celebrated songwriter Mabes unveils stunning new single ‘Fairground’

Marking yet another stunning addition to her Americana-tinged and stunning pop catalog, Essex’s very own Mabes has just returned to unveil “Fairground.” The intricate gem follows Mabes’ summer anthem “Radio,” and makes up for a perfect Sunday evening bop, driven by laid-back vocal lines, nostalgic guitars and simplistic drum work. As the artist explains:

“Fairground comes from a place of hurting, after my love moves or goes away and the relationship ends. “Now I got issues cos I really miss you”. And saying that I’ve been hurt by love before but everytime I ‘go all in’ despite this, I give everything in love and I should know better but can’t help myself. ‘Maybe you just can’t win’ in love.”

With acclaim from American Songwriter, The Line of Best Fit, NME. CLASH, Notion, and many more, Mabes is without a doubt taking the music industry by storm, with no signs of stopping anytime soon. After starting to play guitar at age 15, Mabes kicked off her musical journey with acoustic nights in her hometown while still working a 9-5 job. She was obsessed with Nashville’s songwriting legends at the time, and later in her career managed to write and perform in Nashville, fulfilling her lifelong dream. She has racked up an astounding 38+ million streams to date, and there is no doubt that “Fairground” will further help establish her as one of the most promising talents in the scene.
