About Chai Chang
Chai Chang is a Chinese-Australian singer currently based in Melbourne, Australia. Having grown up in Hong Kong, China, Chai has been passionate about music and fashion since early childhood. Chai takes pride in having a unique appearance coupled with an approachable personality. Inspired by C-Pop, K-Pop and Western music, Chai has always dreamt of having his own original song and becoming a solo dance singer. Despite starting late his music career from banking and education fields, Chai believes it’s never too late to start something new. Chai’s debut single ‘New Reality’ was released on 27 October 2023. Chai is dedicated to demonstrating more of his artistic capabilities in future.
About New Reality
‘New Reality’ is an electro pop and dance-pop song. The lyrics describe what a social media savvy would do to attract mass attention and achieve his fame. He immerses himself in swiping his mobile phone and watches his life through the screen. The song opens as Chai sings the chorus with the line “so I’ll just swipe my life away”. The rap and dance break highlight how the savvy indulges in social media. The song ends with the line “welcome to the new reality”.
