CHANKA is an independent singer-songwriter from Hong Kong.
She started self-learning the guitar and participating in the busking scene since 2015.
In 2017, she started focusing on song writing and organised her first concert.
Her music is deeply influenced by British musicians.
Her trademark as a singer-songwriter has been her airy vocal that goes along with a vintage, dark, indie folk sound, often with a slight touch of psychedelic electronic elements.
CHANKA has just released her newest single ‘• • —’, which begins with a beautiful and smooth intro that delivers a gentle melody and tender vocals.
The song progresses to unleash catchy melodic hooks about halfway through before switching back to the chilled out vibes that are the main stay of the track.
The smooth guitar riffs towards the end of the single are simply sublime.
