Charlotte Lawrence has returned with a new track called ‘Keep Me Up‘.
The new track is an impeccable fusion of light and shade, the electronic production has a bittersweet quality, a tears-on-the-dancefloor refrain that is both affecting and utterly transcendent. Listen to ‘Keep Me Up‘ below.
“I write easier about sad emotions,” she says. “I think it’s so cool to have an upbeat song with dark lyrics. If you tap into an emotion then you can write a whole story. No matter what you’re going through it’s important to take risks with music. I never want to play it safe.”
An important step for the alt-pop riser, it comes as Charlotte Lawrence prepares two full EPs to drop later in the year.
