Chaz Cardigan unveils groovy new single & video, ‘Rockwell’

Alt pop/rock artist Chaz Cardigan has returned with yet another infectious single, this time sharing the self-produced “Rockwell” via impact-driven label Nvak Collective. Coming alongside an equally compelling yet playful video, “Rockwell” marks the third single off Chaz Cardigan’s forthcoming project ‘Absymmetry,’ which was written and recorded in his bedroom exclusively with immigrant, queer and POC collaborators.

“Over the last few songs I’ve released I’ve been telling a story, and looking at my relationship with the United States as if it was my lover,” shares Cardigan. “In ‘We Look So Good’ and ‘Pictures,’ I’m picking apart the relationship and saying, ‘wow, this looks really unhealthy.’ ‘Rockwell’ is the fantasy of what the relationship could be. Total ecstasy in the white picket fence myth — traditional gender norms, power, and institutions that care about you. It’s a lie, but it’s fucking fun to believe in,” explains the talented artist.

Judging by his latest singles, as well as the immaculate grooves and vocals on “Rockwell,” there’s no doubt that Chaz Cardigan is bound to have a more than impressive 2022. Having spent the past years as part of Loud Robot/Capitol Records, the Los Angeles-based musician is now fully independent and ready to take over the world, with multiple live shows and more music coming in the immediate future.
