Landing on Groovy Bone Records, rising star Cheechmo has just unveiled his sophomore EP, a two-track sonic journey through irresistible house grooves and infectious basslines. The talented DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist has collaborated with the likes of Diskull, Zkosta and Hot Pot since he kickstarted his career back in 2018, and his Red Eyes EP makes for a great showcase of his unique skills from within the studio. Boasting fierce g-house energy, “We Got” kicks off the sonic journey with its minimalistic basslines and vocal samples, while the title track boasts a rather uplifting vibe with its bright chords and slower tempo.
Cheechmo is widely known for his distinctive hooks and beats, that have been released via esteemed labels such as Psycho Disco, OKNF, NV’D Records, and House Of Hustle. His musical journey began in a household filled with diverse influences, including his father’s love for hair metal. As a multi-instrumentalist, Cheechmo honed his skills on the viola, saxophone, guitar, and bass. However, it was his introduction to Rusko’s influential 2008 Essential Mix that sparked his passion for DJing. With his rich baritone voice, Cheechmo has collaborated with acclaimed artists like Casmalia and Grensta, leaving a lasting impression on fans.
