Collider Project breaks boundaries with genre-crossing album ‘Everybody’s Right’

Listen Here – OUT NOW!

Collider Project has released their genre-blending debut album, ‘Everybody’s Right‘. This album marks a bold step in their musical journey, reflecting the band’s dedication to mixing genres and not being confined to one style. From politically charged anthems to the grooves of funk, ska, indie, and emotive ballads, Everybody’s Right is a musical rollercoaster that showcases the band’s unique approach to music. It’s an album with something for every listener, whether you’re in the mood for a strong message or just a good groove.

The album spans a variety of genres. It opens with the title track, ‘Everybody’s Right’, a politically charged anthem with strong lyrical content. ‘Pulse’ continues this theme of social commentary, offering listeners more introspection on the state of the world. But Collider Project is not just about serious messages; the album also includes the funk-inspired ‘Time Wasting Time’, the indie vibes of ‘Locked Door’ and ‘Belong’, the ska-infused ‘First to Know’, before taking an emotional turn with the heartfelt ballad ‘Empty Promises’.

A particularly poignant moment on the album is the track ‘Time Wasting Time’, which features a beautifully crafted guitar solo from the late Andy Clayton. Andy, who passed away tragically after being diagnosed with cancer, never got to hear the final version of the song. His contribution is a testament to the strength of the bond between the band members, and the track carries deep emotional weight for everyone involved. The track, ‘Wait’, addresses the struggles faced by people dealing with cancer, underscoring the band’s ability to blend personal themes with universal messages. The title of the album’s closing song, ‘Wait’ also leaves the suggestion of more to come, with the band already hard at work on their next album, the tantalisingly entitled ‘More Than People See’, it really is a case of wait and see which musical direction they will take next.

The songs on ‘Everybody’s Right’ are written and arranged by Christian McCabe, who also provides many of the vocal parts, as well as plays guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards on many of the tracks. Christian has been active in the UK music scene for years, playing in several bands and assisting other musicians with his expertise. But, Collider Project is his sole focus now and Christian is proud and excited by what his band have produced to date.

Collider Project is a unique, ever-evolving online band. It all started when Christian McCabe, who has been working in and around music for over two decades, recognised that musicians were still yearning for creative collaboration despite the isolation of the pandemic. This led him to form Collider Project, a platform for musicians from vastly different musical backgrounds to come together and create new, original music online. The popularity and ease of recording and releasing music online then led Collider Project to commit to recording a full album. The result is ‘Everybody’s Right’, an album that captures the band’s experimental, genre-bending spirit and serves as a celebration of their collective love for music.

The band is known for its diverse membership, which allows them to explore and combine a wide range of musical styles, including indie, funk, pop, and alternative. The album has special meaning for the band, particularly Christian, who has poured his passion into its creation. He is determined to continue pushing boundaries, making Collider Project a constant experiment in musical exploration. The band’s mantra, “real music, played by real musicians”, resonates throughout ‘Everybody’s Right’, with every track contributing something unique to the larger conversation.
