Dizzy O’Brian was never one who thought that creativity had anything to do with following trends or going with the flow. Dizzy is a classically trained musician who ran amuck from his earliest days in a classical music conservatory. While in the conservatory being inundated with ‘the classics’ and ‘rules of music’, Dizzy and his peers began listening to and playing all different kinds of musical genres.
Eventually Dizzy realised it wasn’t about the genre but just about the basic quality of the music. Thus he began to write music that draws from a large palette of styles and genres.
Upon returning to the West Coast, Dizzy began playing in many modern music groups, groups of his own creation as well as symphony orchestras.
To date, he has produced over a hundred music tracks, all available on the major streaming platforms. In addition to being influenced by the classics, his major popular influences are The Beatles, The B52s and Yes. With his creative juxtaposition of different instruments, the basic sound might be compared to The Piano Guys or The Vitamin String Quartet, but Dizzy does very few covers so the essence of the music is pure Dizzy O’Brian.
‘4 Good Measure‘ is an album of progressive rock and experimental electronic tracks. It contains the indie rock hit; Breakout No. 2.
