Ela Rexha comes from a family of musicians, with her father being a very successful music producer in Kosovo. Ela’s first inspiration was watching her dad in the industry, organising concerts, events and television shows. The artist also started piano at the young age of five, singing and dancing being a passion even before that. The German-born singer-songwriter is a born performer, now taking strides to cement herself in the industry.
The latest track from Ela Rexha is ‘Night Calls’ a powerful, alluring and bold vibe has you bopping from start to finish. Hard hitting drums dominate the track, with a kick that thumps you in the chest and a clap that cuts through the mix. The instrumentation centres on an ever present groovy guitar line. Vocally, Ela puts in an unapologetic performance, with clean vocal layering and ad libs that add an extra depth to the track that only makes it more vibrant. Each chorus is a climactic moment that lets loose its high energy whilst still remaining effortlessly smooth.
Ela explains, “My music is inspired by my own life. So it’s a song about female self respect and the enjoyment of saying no.
Take it easy, be unavailable, stand on your own feet, be happy on your own and again self respect.”
