Ellie Moon Unveils New Pop Track ‘Don’t Date Me’

Singer-songwriter Ellie Moon is back with the new single ‘Don’t Date Me’, complete with sharp pop melodies and a stunning new music video. Filled with infectious hooks and an eye-catching bubblegum pink aesthetic, the new single is from her upcoming EP, ‘Bad TV’.

Having already seen support from tastemakers such as The Line Of Best Fit and CLOUT, Ellie is a fierce new popstar who draws influence from the icons of MARINA and Lady Gaga, without forgetting the classic sounds of Pulp or The Cardigans. With early success on her 2020 debut EP ‘Moonisms’, her lyrical universe combines the modern pains of growing up alongside themes of social media and ex-boyfriends.

“I had gone through a string of these weird ‘situationships’ and it left me feeling like nobody would ever want to go out with me ever again! So instead of feeling sorry for myself, in true Ellie Moon fashion, I decided to write a song and turn my feelings completely the other way.” Explains the Liverpool-born singer. “I imagined the lyrics as a series of self aware text messages I was sending to a so-called ex acknowledging and highlighting how rubbish it is to date someone indifferent and selfish when it comes to love.”
