Ewan J Phillips has been steadily making tracks for some time now and his numbers on Spotify can attest to that. Since coming onto the scene back in 2018 he has released an array of singles, followed by EPs and last year an album – Born Survivor. His resilience has paid off and now he prepares for his second album, but not before he ties the knot. He is after all, getting married to Fiancee and fellow artist Freya Ridings, after whom he’s penned the emotional I’m Yours.
The sentimental piano track has obviously come straight from the heart as Ewan professes his love for his soulmate, but manages to do so in a way that shows his natural self, and doesn’t fill us with cliches. The lyrics show depth and married with the instrumentation (excuse the pun) keep you engaged throughout that your mind wouldn’t dare wander until the very end. The arrangement from start to finish is marvellous. It’s the perfect song to be played at the wedding.
When asked about the track, Ewan said:
“I’m lucky enough to be marrying the woman of my dreams, the one and only Freya Ridings. It means everything to me that we get to be the best versions of ourselves and thrive side by side. This is for her.”
