Rising UK singer-songwriter FIONA makes an unforgettable entrance with her debut single, “Enough’s Enough” — a powerful blend of pop, R&B, and jazz that showcases her emotive vocals and heartfelt storytelling. At just 18, FIONA’s voice carries a rare maturity, effortlessly capturing the raw emotional weight of love’s breaking point.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Adele, Linda Ronstadt, Olivia Dean, and Stevie Nicks, FIONA weaves classical training with modern soul sensibilities. The result is a timeless yet contemporary sound that speaks to the universal experience of heartbreak. In “Enough’s Enough,” she navigates the agonizing moment when holding on becomes harder than letting go.
“This song is about the stage before a breakup when you’re questioning whether you still have love for that person, or if you’re just holding on out of familiarity,” FIONA explains. “But their actions make loving them even harder, almost pushing you towards hate, even when you don’t want to feel that way.”
The track was co-written with jazz pianist Jack Noke, who helped shape the emotionally charged piano arrangement. FIONA’s poignant lyric, “Don’t make me hate you, cause loving you is painful enough,” serves as the track’s emotional centrepiece. Together, they created a conversational narrative — a reflection of inner turmoil and unresolved tension. Producer Philip Van Den Brandeler layered swelling instrumentals with FIONA’s soul-baring vocals, crafting a soundscape that builds to a powerful crescendo.
While “Enough’s Enough” sets the tone for FIONA’s artistry, it’s only the beginning. Currently working on her debut EP, she plans to explore a range of themes and sounds — from sweeping ballads to infectious pop melodies. With this debut, FIONA establishes herself as an artist unafraid to embrace vulnerability, offering listeners a front-row seat to her emotional journey.
