Having already followed up their brilliant 2020 sophomore album ‘Baby, It’s Okay’ with the vibrant new singles ‘Feeling So Down’ and ‘The Bright Lights’ in previous months, Flora Cash are back once again to head in a more sombre direction with their latest effort ‘Soul Mate’.
Usually ones to experiment with broad and diverse soundscapes, ‘Soul Mate’ sees the duo strip right back to an acoustic aesthetic to create a far more humbled sound. Written about the baby the couple had together recently, it acts as a warm and soothing ode to the love they both have for each other and the latest addition to their family.
It may branch away from their usual direction, but this latest release marks one of their most passionate and emotionally-charged endeavours yet. Beautifully sweet and enticing, they are certainly pulling on heartstrings with this one.
