An accomplished musician with a lauded career, Gary Hempsey has won awards such as Best Song in a Music Video at the Cleveland Film Festival, Best Music Video at the Santa Cruz Film Festival and Song of the Year at the Key West Music Awards. Performing across the US, garnering a reputation for his folk songwriting, as well as tastemaker support from the press and radio, cements him as a man with a rich musical ability.
His latest album is entitled The Night Flight, and arrives as a showcase of gorgeously natural soundscapes. Gary’s sound across the project is marked by authentic and honest vocal performances, blending his melodies with poetic delivery, invoking a natural rhythm in his speech.

“The Night Flight LP is a collection of songs I put together after writing ‘Find Your Way,’ mostly while traveling,” Gary adds. “We tend to think of home a little differently from afar. ‘Passing Storm’ is an example of how anxiety can hit us, but we know it’s just a moment that is passing.”
