Giles et Diego and Climate Actions Now Release “Dance Be Happy” Single to Support Uganda’s Batwa Community

French electronic duo Giles et Diego, in collaboration with Robert Stephenson, founder of Climate Actions Now (CAN), have released a new single titled “Dance Be Happy.” The track, distributed by the CAN Music label via AWAL, aims to support the Batwa community in Uganda, particularly in education. All proceeds from downloads and streams of the song will be donated to the cause.

Giles et Diego have created a distinctive organic house track that stays true to the original traditional Ugandan dance. The project not only showcases their unique sound but also contributes directly to the Batwa community’s well-being, including education, healthcare, water, sanitation, and income generation.

Robert Stephenson emphasizes the initiative’s significance and CAN Music’s commitment to using music for social change. The collaboration between Giles et Diego, CAN Music, and the Batwa community highlights the power of music in transforming lives and raising awareness.

Climate Actions Now, founded in 2019, focuses on climate change resilience, adaptation, awareness, education, and research in Africa. CAN Music, an extension of CAN, uses music as a tool to create awareness and bring about real impact.

Giles & Diego, with their decade-long experience in electronic music, are driven by a passion for deep and melodic house grooves. Their collaboration seeks to promote the rich heritage of the Batwa community, generating funds and fostering appreciation.

The “Dance Be Happy” project serves as a beacon of hope, resilience, and change, bridging cultural boundaries through music.
