Good Time Locomotive drop their anticipated self-titled EP

Good Time Locomotive spent much of 2024 and the first month of the year building for this moment, the release of their six-track self-titled EP. Hailing from London, and forming during the pandemic, leading to zoom rehearsals and thinking out-the-box with creative process, their sound has snowballed in development to new heights with their recent releases.

Their latest project has been a long time in the making, trickled out as singles before finally being packaged into one box of joyful songwriting and emotive performances. The band are able to capture elation and reflection, allowing themselves to experience both euphoria and wistfulness. Commanding their sense of party spirit into a wide range of emotional contexts, they fill the air with catchy vocals, sparkling synths and rhythmic guitar.

Despite the range, each track feels momentous, a meeting of all strands of pop with just enough cinema to remain contemporary. The raw authenticity holds an extra layer of depth if your willing to look, but even a surface level listen will lift you back into a better mood. All aboard!

James, songwriter and drummer for the band, shares, “This self-titled EP, like the name of the band, really sums up why we started this project. Music is one of the most powerful emotional experiences a human being can have, so for us we have always strived to write songs that make you feel that emotion in the most visceral way possible! The songs on this EP cover everything from the love of the party to overcoming grief, regret, lost love, to the need for human unity. So we cover most bases I think!”
